Access from Budapest:

by car

  • M3 Motorway: Andrássy Boulevard links directly to M3 motorway. Leave M3 at Exit 27 for Gödöllő.
  • Road 3: Starting from Keleti railway station, Kerepesi street connects to Road 3 which passes through Kistarcsa, Kerepes and Mogyoród.
  • M0 relief road around Budapest links the Northern parts of the capital to M3 through Megyeri Bridge towards Nyíregyháza.

by train

Due to track reconstruction works, from 4th February 2019 until 7th December 2019, train traffic and timetable changes take place on the Budapest – Hatvan railway line. Trains run only between Budapest-Keleti and Pécel, and between Aszód and Hatvan stations. The section between Pécel and Aszód is served by train replacement buses. The long-distance trains do not run between Budapest and Hatvan. Instead of fast trains, replacement buses run also between Pécel and Aszód, which stop only at Gödöllő.

The railway tickets are valid on the train replacement buses. The H8 suburban trains of MÁV-HÉV provide an alternative travel option between Budapest and Gödöllő, on which the MÁV-START railway tickets and passes are valid. by bus

By bus the “Stadionok” coach terminal provides for patches that operate between 6.00 am and 10.45 pm on weekdays with more than 30 direct shuttle buses to Gödöllő. It takes about 45 minutes to get to Gödöllő by bus. From Gödöllő buses depart to Budapest between 6.00 am to 7.30 pm.

The suburban train starts from Budapest Örs vezér Square at the terminal point of M2 (red metro line), it takes 47 minutes to take this distance to Gödöllő.
